Official cover for Fabolous’ street album turned EP “There Is No Competition 2: The Grieving Music”. Scheduled released August 31st on Island Def Jam/Desert Storm Records.
BAM Fact: This is the cover we submitted to Fab back in February when he first approached us to spear head the TiNC2 campaign. He put this cover up vs. the viral cover which you all know via Twitter and we lost by a small margin of votes. Couple of months later x post successful release and were right back at it. Full Circle.
Here is the latest visual from Desert Storm Reloaded signees 1st String. We shot this and “Goin In Circles” a few months back in there home town of Pittsburgh. This was sort of an impulsive video…we only story boarded “Goin In Cirlces” with the intentions of doing something lifestyle on the spot but really had nothing set in stone. It was when Thi and I were first introduced to the group we knew we had to utilize this energy, and document what was going on in this unsuspecting basement studio in the middle of a Pittsburgh suburb.
Very proud of this video..wanted to do something a little less glossy and more artistic and organic. The team effort on this was crazy…Thi was taking stills and producing…TaVon cooked up some titles over night that fit like a glove. In short..this video is a culmination of talent and what a team can do with little time. Honestly, I should of put Visualized by: By Any Means. I hope you guys like it as much as we do. This is the first release from 1st Strings upcoming mix-tape “Reservoir Dogs”.
Second release from Desert Storm’s newest act “1st String“. This is from there mix-tape “Reservoir Dogs” which is COMING SOON! Official video for this dropping soon as well…
Meet Desert Storm’s newest act and By Any Means featured project of the moment “1st String“. This is the first track released from there street album “Reservoir Dogs”. Cant wait to show you the video for this…
“And just like that, it’s a wrap! The 1st Quarter of 2010 was special for By Any Means…we added new members to the team, re-united with older ones, and met some great folk to help propel our movement forward. Our first magazine cover allowed us to display our talent and dedication; while a great response to our work has us more determined than ever to change the boundaries of a traditional ‘marketing’ company. As we look forward to some amazing Spring & Summer campaigns, we would like to thank all those involved; from the fans, to the directors, to the photographers, to the artists themselves.” – Aristotle
I cant begin to explain how surreal this is…we were just some kids trying to start a label out of our college dorm room and now were doing things like this. Honestly, I know its cliche to say, but the people on this cover (and some new members who aren’t) are what make this whole machine work. Its there talent and hard work that allows me to pull these amazing jobs and meet these amazing clients. We dont really get much shine due to us being in the background so often, but were behind a lot of the stuff you guys love that you see on the blogs, sites, etc. We barely get hyperlink credit..LOL. Its all good though, were going to keep making quality products for you to love and hate and just take a moment the next time you see something you like to find out who did it. It takes days and hours of prep for a 3 minute video or album packaging. Appreciate the work we put it and we’ll keep you wanting more.
Also, thanks to Thomas Campos from Alife, Louis Torres, Olivia who shot the cover, Nisarg for riding out with out question, PA my brother from another and all of our BY ANY MEANS reppers!!
Peace and love,
Aristotle a.k.a. “The Wolf”
P.S. Shouts to Brandon Davis and everyone over at “American Dreaming”…STADIUM STATUS!
